In 17th century, some composers started to compose some musical pieces for solo bassoon but it could not be developed. In 18th century, there was a lot of composers who is very succesful and famous made many solo bassoon compositions such as sonatas and concertos. Most important of them first, In 1728, the most important sonata in Bassoon repertory Telemann’s f minor sonata show us the characteristics of the Baraque era. Another difficult sonata followed in 1731, J.F. Fasch’s Bassoon sonata. The most important legacy of the Baroque Period to the present is Vivaldi’s 39 bassoon concertos.
